HOW INFRARED SAUNAS WORK
Rather than heating the air like traditional saunas, infrared saunas use ultramodern technology to create more than 5 times the impact of traditional wet saunas. Infrared lamps use electromagnetic radiation that penetrates the tissues to warm your body directly. This allows infrared saunas to operate at a lower temp than a traditional saunas (between 40-80 degs Celsius), allowing you to stay in longer, experiencing more sweating at lower temperatures. Infrared saunas have been shown to help with a number of health issues including stress, chronic depression, body pain, sleep disorders, heart problems, skin problems, weight loss and more. Our Sauna is made from completely non-toxic materials and uses no EMF and low ELF technology. You are welcome to use our saunas in isolation or combine with any range of our other healing therapies.
As the minimum booking time for studio sessions is 40 mins for $50, you can add other therapies onto a sauna, for example the massage chair, leg compression, PEMF mat or red-light are the perfect compliment a 20, 30 or 40min sauna. WHAT TO EXPECT
You can book in for a 40, 60, 90 or 120 min session in our sauna when combined with any of our other services. It’s a perfect way to finish a workout, a massage treatment, combine in a contrast therapy session, or just on its own.
You will be provided with a towel and/or gown and a glass of filtered water to stay hydrated whilst in the sauna.
Our sauna can be set at any temperature you are comfortable with up to a maximum temperature of 70 deg C. For those new to infrared saunas we recommend starting at around 45-50 degs C and building up from there.
You can chose to listen to your own music, a podcast, read a book (although it might get a little sweaty), listen to one of guided mediations, or just sit quietly and relax.
We highly recommend a cold shower after the session to wash away the sweat, close your pores and halt the heating process in your body. It will also leave you feeling wonderfully refreshed and relaxed.
