HOW ICE BATHS WORK
Cold water immersion is a practice that has been around for millennia, and for good reason. Cold water immersion impacts full body health in a number of ways. In the first instance it constricts your body’s blood vessels, flushing toxins from your body. The icy temperature helps reduce inflammation and swelling throughout the body. As your body naturally begins to heat itself back up after your treatment, blood vessels expand to allow blood flow. The constriction and expansion of the blood vessels has benefits to blood pressure, overall circulation, metabolism, sleep, immunity and resetting the central nervous system. Combining the process with breath-work further increases the health benefits. Our ice bath therapy supports improved mental as well as physical health.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The temperature of our ice bath is variable but generally set to around 10 degrees celsius.
We have a variety programs for you to work through depending on whether you’re an experienced hard core lover of the ice or a newbie wondering what all the hype and excitement is about. Its totally up to you if you want to take the plunge and fully submerge yourself into the icy waters or just dip your little toe in, you are in control 😉
Once you decide how cold you want to get you can then pair your chilly experience with a workout, breathing exercises or alternate between our hot mineral soaker and ice bath, or our sauna and ice bath or even a combo of all of these. You are in control (with our guidance).
Everyone is required to have a shower prior to hopping in any of the pods to ensure all oils, creams, dirt and sweat are removed (this helps us to maintain the pristine waters of our pods).
You will be provided with a body wash bar, towel and robe to use.
Post shower is optional (but not necessary) after the ice bath.
